Alyssa + Dahlen: The Wedding

I am so excited to post this beautiful rustic chic wedding! You may remember them from their engagement session I shot a few months ago, or Alyssa’s AMAZING bridals!! You can view them here and here if you want! Alyssa and Dahlen tied the knot last weekend at his family’s farm and it was perfect in so many ways! Although the farm itself is “rustic”, it was adorned with gorgeous crystal chandeliers, beautiful flowers, and lovely linens. I loved how the chic intermingled with the rustic, it was so gorgeous! Having the wedding on the farm was such a special way to get married because it is a big part of their family life. Dahlen and Alyssa opted for a first look (wahoo!) and it was a really special moment between the two… I even teared up behind my lens! It was obvious Alyssa was the most beautiful sight Dahlen had ever seen! I am not lying when I say I could seriously feel the love radiating off of these two! Clearly this made it easy to capture some amazing shots of them! Alyssa and Dahlen are blessed with an amazing family and I love the bond they both share with their parents! One of my favorite parts of the wedding was when Alyssa showed her dad her “something blue”– it was a blue heart sewn to her train that was made from one of his work shirts! Such a sweet gesture and I LOVED the moment when he saw it! Surrounded by family and their closest friends, Dahlen and Alyssa said their i do’s on the lawn and then made their way into the barn for the reception! Guests dined on a fabulous steak dinner complete with home baked deserts and wonderful wedding cake! After dancing the night away, the couple made their exit in a car full of glitter! Yes, you heard me, a car FULL of glitter!! During the reception some sneaky friends filled the A/C vents of the car with glitter so once they car started it was a glitter explosion!!! I can certainly say that’s a wedding first for me! There’s a good chance these two are still finding glitter in their hair! Well, anyway, without further adieu, the sparking Mr. and Mrs. Dahlen McCarter!
